D\u00e9finition de la fonction logarithme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\nOn appelle fonction logarithme n\u00e9p\u00e9rien, not\u00e9e \"\ln\", l’unique fonction d\u00e9finie, continue et d\u00e9rivable sur \"\mathbb{R}_+^*\" s’annulant en \"1\", dont la d\u00e9riv\u00e9e est la fonction inverse.\n\n\n\n

On d\u00e9duit de cette d\u00e9finition les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s<\/strong> suivantes : <\/p>\n\n\n\n\nPour tout \"(x,y)\in(\mathbb{R}_+^*)^2\", on a :\n

  • \"\ln(xy)=\ln(x)+\ln(y)\" ; <\/li>\n
  • \"\displaystyle\ln\left(\dfrac{1}{x}\right)=-\ln(x)\" ; <\/li>\n
  • \"\forall n\in\mathbb{Z}\", \"\ln\left(x^n\right)=n\ln(x)\" ; <\/li>\n
  • \"\ln(x)\le x-1\" ;<\/li>\n
  • \"\displaystyle\ln\left(\dfrac{x}{y}\right)=\ln(x)-\ln(y)\" ; <\/li>\n
  • \"\displaystyle\lim_{x\rightarrow 0^+}\ln(x)=-\infty\" ; <\/li>\n
  • \"\displaystyle\lim_{x\rightarrow +\infty}\ln(x)=+\infty\".<\/li>\n\n\n\n

  • On va montrer l’\u00e9galit\u00e9 \"\ln(xy)=\ln(x)+\ln(y)\". Soit \"y\in\mathbb{R}_+^*\", on consid\u00e8re la fonction \"f:x\mapsto \ln(xy)-\ln(x)-\ln(y)\". \"f\" est d\u00e9rivable sur \"\mathbb{R}_+^*\" (comme compos\u00e9e de fonctions d\u00e9rivables) et :\n

      <\/span>   <\/span>\"\[\forall x\in\mathbb{R}_+^*,\;f'(x)=\dfrac{y}{xy}-\dfrac{1}{x}=0.\]\"<\/p>\nLa fonction \"f\" est constante sur \"\mathbb{R}_+^*\", or \"f(1)=0\", d’o\u00f9 l’\u00e9galit\u00e9 recherch\u00e9e.<\/li>\n\n

  • On va montrer que pour tout \"x\in\mathbb{R}_+^*\", \"\displaystyle\ln\left(\dfrac{1}{x}\right)=-\ln(x)\".\nOn remarque que pour tout \"x\in\mathbb{R}_+^*\" : \"x\times \dfrac{1}{x}=1\", soit \"\ln(x\times \dfrac{1}{x})=0\". En utilisant le premier r\u00e9sultat : \"\ln(x)+\ln(1/x)=0\".<\/li> \n\n
  • Pour montrer que : \"\forall n\in\mathbb{N}\", \"\ln\left(x^n\right)=n\ln(x)\", on proc\u00e8de par r\u00e9currence en utilisant le fait que : \"\ln(x^2)=2\ln(x)\". On g\u00e9n\u00e9ralise cette relation sur \"\mathbb{Z}\" en utilisant la relation : \"x^{-n}=\dfrac{1}{x^n}\".<\/li>\n\n
  • Pour montrer l’in\u00e9galit\u00e9, on \u00e9tudie les variations de la fonction \"f:x\mapsto \ln(x)- (x-1)\" sur \"\mathbb{R}_+^*\".<\/li>\n\n
  • Pour montrer l’\u00e9galit\u00e9 \"\displaystyle\ln\left(\dfrac{x}{y}\right)=\ln(x)-\ln(y)\", on utilise les relations pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes.<\/li>\n\n
